Calendars on your Web or Blog
Google's web-based Calendar application enables users to keep track of meetings, appointments and events. Each user can set up and manage multiple calendars, which can be made private or public as required and can be accessed from any web browser as well as a number of portable devices. Any public calendar can be embedded in another website in just a few steps by inserting some HTML code available from the official Google help pages.

Log into your Google Account. If you haven't set up a free account, you'll need to register one in order to use Google Calendar.
Step 2
Switch to the Calendar interface once you've logged in. Click the "Settings" link in the top-right corner of the Calendar interface, then choose "Calendar Settings."
Step 3
Open the "Calendars" tab and click on the name of the calendar that you'd like to embed in another website. Switch to the "Share this Calendar" tab and tick the box marked "Make this Calendar public." Anyone will be able to view the information in the calendar, though other users cannot make changes to it unless you give them specific permission.
Step 4
Switch back to the "Calendar Details" tab. Find the "Embed this Calendar" heading and click on the link labeled "Customize the color, size and other options." Set the height, width, style and colors of the embedded widget. Additional calendars can be selected if required from the list on the left. Choose between the Week, Month and Agenda views and configure any other relevant options.
Step 5
Click "Update HTML" to refresh the embed code, which can then be copied to the clipboard and used in another site by pasting it into the relevant section. The process for embedding the calendar's HTML code will vary from platform to platform. On popular hosting sites such as Weebly and WordPress, for example, create a new HTML widget and paste the code into the box when prompted.
Step 6
Consult the Help documentation on your platform of choice for specific instructions for creating space for the code. Some platforms, such as Google Sites, have pre-made widgets that support Google Calendar, so the process is easier.
Step 7
Add new events and appointments to the calendar from within the Google Calendar interface. These changes will be instantly updated in the calendar widget that you've created on another site. Click on any of the links within the widget to view the full calendar.
Tip
- If you see an error message, "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them," check that all the calendars that you've selected in Step 5 have been made public.
