iPhone Calendar Features

The calendar app traditionally sits at the top left corner of the iPhone

                           The iPhone is smartphone, or a phone with Internet and media capabilities, that is produced by Apple. Introduced to the public at the start of 2007, the iPhone has gone through four generations as of 2011. The calendar is one of the iPhones many apps, or applications, which comes standard with the device.

Events

                           If you have an upcoming meeting, anniversary or week-long vacation, you can create an event in the iPhone calendar to remind yourself as it approaches and keep track of everything on your plate. Creating an event is as easy as pressing the "+" button in the upper right-hand corner of the calendar screen. Here, you can type in the title and location of the event as well as the start and end time and date. You can also note if this event repeats and set an alarm to remind you at specific intervals up to two days beforehand.

Multiple Calenders

                          If you juggle many different schedules, such as the kids' soccer practices, your job and a social life, you may wish that you could break your calendar down into component calendars. The iPhone calendar does just this, allowing you to organize your events into separate calendars for each component of your life and letting you view these calendars as a conglomerate or individually. This is also an ideal tool for students who need to separate their homework assignments according to different classes. You can even create a separate calendar for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

Syncing

                        Some iPhone users find it difficult to type as rapidly as they need to on their phones. In this case, you can create events on your computer calendar and sync your iPhone with the computer so that you can see the events on your phone. The computer calendar also allows you to color-code events from different calendars and it cuts down on the number of buttons you have to push to delete an event. The calendar automatically syncs whenever you plug your iPhone into your computer.

View

                       The normal viewing mode for the iPhone calendar shows the whole month with a dot on days that contain an event. If you touch a day with an event, a list of events will appear in the white space at the bottom of the screen. You can touch the event to edit it, delete it or view its details. You can also view the calendar in day-mode, showing a breakdown of the day by the hour, or you can view a list of only your upcoming events sorted chronologically and listed with their component calendar tag. To re-center the highlighted day back to the present day, click the "Today" button in the bottom left corner.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the perpetrators of the Uri terror attack would be punished and the Army did not speak but exhibited its valour. “I pay tributes to our 18 soldiers who lost their lives in the Uri attack. Army deployed in rain-affected areas of Hyderabad

Nod likely for Bhagirathi hydel projects

One militant was killed in an encounter and two infiltration bids were foiled on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kashmir Valley on Thursday. An Army spokesman said two bids were foiled in as many places in Naugam sector of Kupwara district. Daimler to introduce heavy duty truck soon
