How to Connect an iPad to an HTC Incredible

Use your Android phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot to connect other devices to the Internet.

While you cannot share files between an iPad and an HTC Incredible, you can connect the two devices to share the Incredible's wireless connection. You must have hotspot service enabled on your Incredible before you share the connection. Hotspot service lets your Incredible act as a Wi-Fi hotspot and share its connection with other devices. Hotspot service can be enabled through your mobile service provider and usually costs more per month than a basic talk, text and mobile data program.

Step 1

Tap "Applications" on the homescreen of your HTC Incredible.

Step 2

Select "3G Mobile Hotspot" and press "OK."

Step 3

Enter a name for your hotspot network in the first text box.

Step 4

Choose your security level and enter a password in the second text box. Your iPad will connect with this information.

Step 5

Tap "Settings" on the iPad home screen.

Step 6

Press "On" in the Wi-Fi tab area.

Step 7

Tap the name of the network from the HTC Incredible to join it. Enter the password if prompted.
